B's Boo Boo

B got his first injury last night.  I feel so bad that it happened but there was nothing I could do.

Mom and I went out to dinner last night with B, my aunt and my cousin.  He was in his car seat (not strapped in, just sitting in it) that was placed on the restaurant's highchair thingy that holds car seats.  Well B is a big boy for his age and is really strong.  He must have been kicking his feet and got just enough momentum going to throw the highchair forward.

All I heard was a loud bang and I looked over and B's face was the only thing holding him up.  His forehead was wedged between the car seat and the table.  The highchairs back end was wedged against the wall so he was pinned to the car seat.  I grabbed him and he started screaming at the top of his lungs.

B doesn't scream.  Like ever.

His screams turned my stomach.  I almost threw up and I wanted to cry along with him.  Luckily he only has a tiny red spot between the eyes and nothing is broken.  My mom said she thinks he was more scared then hurt but it really got to me nonetheless.

He was doing fine this morning and mom checked on him for me a few times throughout the night to make sure he was ok and didn't have a concision.  He was all smiles this morning so I think he's gonna be alright.

  3. Hun, I have four children. They are going to do some crazy amazing things that cause your breath to catch in the back of your throat and your stomach to churn. It's okay. You are an awesome mamma and this is just the first of many. Hold on tight, you're in for a fantastical bumpy ride!
